We have HEROES among us. They are people just like you, family, friends, neighbors, teachers, youth, and seniors. They are people willing to step up and give back to help others and build strong community-police relationships which all lead to Crime Free Safe Communities.

The Crime Prevention Fund works hard to fund educational events and programs designed to inform people about safety & preparedness, school programs taught by police officers, and safety messages for youth and seniors. CPF wants everyone to be prevention-savvy, 360-aware and prepared. In addition, we provide rewards for tips that solve crimes when requested by an advisor and promote active community-police relations. 

Through the generosity of donors like you, we fund scholarships for graduating young adults from our local high schools, DARE materials for the DARE program taught by police officers in the schools, and special equipment requests like electric bicycles to patrol our neighborhoods, parks, trails, and business areas, wellness and training equipment for police departments, citizen academies for educate citizens of how to be better informed about the job of policing and answer questions to clarify and correct any myths about policing. We are all about safety & preparedness.

To fund our Mission and Vision the Crime Prevention Fund typically has a Golf Classic Fundraiser. It’s a great way to have fun while donating to support school program materials for the DARE program, scholarships, officer wellness, and other Crime Prevention safety initiatives. 

The Crime Prevention Fund primarily works through local law enforcement. Our current agencies are the Minnetrista Public Safety Department serving the cities of Minnetrista and St. Bonifacius, and the Orono Police Department serving the cities of Orono, Spring Park, Minnetonka Beach, and Mound, and the West Hennepin Public Safety Department serving the cities of Independence and Maple Plain. We also serve parts of NE Carver County. 

As a registered 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit corporation donations to the Crime Prevention Fund are tax deductible to the extent of the law. Please donate and take part in our fundraiser. We rely on the generosity of our donors who believe in Crime Free and Safe Communities. Thank you!
